We’re closing up the 2023 harvest for Ethiopia with a delicious selection of coffees from Raro Washing Station, situated in the highlands of Uraga Guji! This washing station is owned by SNAP Coffee, an exporter focused on sourcing some of the best Ethiopian coffees with incredibly high elevations. 

The washing station is located at 2470 MASL, supporting over 1500 smallholder farmers. This year the producers utilised plastic barrels instead of black plastic bags, allowing for a slightly more stable fermentation environment. The barrels were also placed under shade, allowing for a longer duration. The coffees were then spread out in thin layers on raised beds for up to 3 weeks. 

Ethiopia could possibly be the only origin where the flavour profiles remain incredibly distinct despite the “EXPERIMENTAL” processing techniques. This lot displays incredibly sweet & syrupy notes of Fruit punch, Dried Mangoes & Lychee. We hope you will enjoy this coffee as much as we do!
