This month’s Pinnacle coffee comes from famed Honduran producers Marysabel Caballero & Moises Herrera. This fully washed Gesha comes from one of the few farms they own in the Marcala region of Honduras called Las Amazonas.

This is one of the first few harvests of the recently planted Gesha variety in this farm. This cultivar isn’t particularly easy to grow, requiring very specific climatic & soil conditions. The Caballeros have taken the lessons from their other farms such as El Puente & applied at Las Amazonas, yielding coffees with intense sweetness & distinct flavours.

Honduran Geshas are a little different from the renowned Panama Geshas. They usually offer a more botanical flavour experience as well as a creamier mouthfeel. In this case, Las Amazonas Gesha has a delicate acidity with an elegant complexion, displaying flavours of Golden Kiwi & Jasmine Green Tea!
