We’re really happy to introduce our first Natural Processed Ethiopian coffee from Lalesa Station. This well-known station in the Gedeb region of Yirgacheffe has been producing stellar coffees year after year.

A few hundred smallholder farmers contribute to Lalesa Station, with most of these farmers cultivating recognised varieties such as Kurume, Dega, and Wolisho. These cultivars are typically referred to as Ethiopian Heirloom varieties, but it has been consistently shown that separating individual cultivars can impact the overall taste profile of Ethiopian coffees.

This lot underwent a natural drying process, with the seeds left intact within the cherries as they were placed on raised beds. Extra attention was given to the thickness of the cherry layers during drying, with thinner and more uniform layers exhibiting clean, sweet flavours.
