We're excited to share this exceptional natural-processed coffee from Adanech Gemede Bune, a passionate smallholder farmer in Yirgacheffe, Ethiopia - the birthplace of coffee and home to some of the world's most distinctive heirloom varieties.

From her farm at 2,022 meters elevation in the highlands of southern Ethiopia, Adanech carefully cultivates indigenous varieties like Kurume and 74112. The cherries undergo meticulous processing: after selective hand-picking at peak ripeness, they're dried whole on raised African beds for about 14 days. This traditional natural method allows the fruit's sugars to slowly infuse into the beans while the high-altitude climate ensures perfect drying conditions - warm days and cool nights that preserve delicate aromatics.

Adanech works closely with the Jabanto Farmers Group, a collective of smallholders who pool their harvests to access better processing facilities and international markets. Through our partners at Nordic Approach, we're able to bring this special lot to you, representing both the incredible terroir of Yirgacheffe and Adanech's dedication to quality.

In the cup, expect a vibrant expression of Yirgacheffe's signature profile: lush notes of ripe strawberries and papaya dance with the floral elegance of rose cordial, all carried by a velvety mouthfeel. It's a beautiful example of how traditional processing, ideal growing conditions, and farmer expertise combine to create something truly extraordinary.
