We are very proud to feature the Centroamericano from Aquiares Estate for the 3rd year running. This coffee has consistently been one of our favourite coffees & it has been a great experience seeing how it has evolved over the years.
Aquiares Estate is one of the oldest and most well-known farms in Costa Rica. The farm is owned by the Robelo family & is currently managed by Diego, the son of Don Alfonso. Don Alfonso took over the management of the estate in 1992 & made the welfare of farm workers as well the wider community his priority. Sitting on the fertile slopes of the Turrialba Volcano, the farm has thrived and has continuously produced high-quality coffee as well as supporting the local community of over 1800 people.
This year’s harvest showcases distinct malic acidity like Granny Smith apples, sitting atop its landmark juicy mouthfeel. We taste prominent notes of red dates & dried longans with a sticky finish.
